When a woman’s body is found on the Mill Dam Trail beneath a disused rail bridge, DI Stratton and the Homicide Unit travel to the quaint Tasmanian village of Longford.
It appears to be a straightforward homicide until they discover a bizarre coincidence – the victim had been grieving the suicide of her partner only days earlier.
An incompetent forensic pathologist, three dubious siblings with outdated beliefs, and the interwoven relationships of a small town add layers of complexity. As the team struggles to identify plausible suspects, another victim is killed in macabre circumstances. With victims 200 kilometres part, half of the team races back to Hobart putting one of them in grave danger.
